The Agri-SMART project brings together a partnership of local and international actors supported by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation with the aim of strengthening food security in the 4 districts of Derre, Lugela, Namarrai and Gilé (Mozambique) and, specifically, to develop sustainable agro-food supply chains.

From 2018, for 3 years we will work alongside local communities to establish a fruitful agricultural production and, at the same time, to build infrastructures suitable for the transformation and marketing of products. Furthermore, thanks to the strengthening of productive sectors such as fish farming and bee-keeping, we will encourage a diversified and sustainable rural development.

Agri-SMART is realized by COSV together with CELIM, the action group for the mitigation of climate change CarbonSink, Eliante, the Universities of Urbino and Milan, the Pontifical Institute for Foreign Missions (PIME) and the Department for the Earth and the Environment of Zambezia, Mozambique.
